Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is a lifestyle-related disease characterized by hepatic fibrosis with the accumulation of fat and inflammation and can progress to cirrhosis or hepatocellular carcinoma. However, effective pharmacotherapeutic strategies for hepatic fibrosis in NASH remain to be established.
