Typical approaches to patient-specific haemodynamic studies of cerebral aneurysms use image-based computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and seek to statistically correlate parameters such as wall shear stress (WSS) and oscillatory shear index (OSI) to risk of growth and rupture.
