Résumé

A 53-year-old woman presented to the emergency department with persistent left hip pain after a fall while riding a bicycle. Although x-ray imaging revealed no evidence of fracture, an abnormal intensity vertical line along the left femoral neck was observed in the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Furthermore, 2 weeks after injury, MRI revealed a newly developed abnormal intensity oblique band at the femoral neck. After discussing several treatment options with the patients, she chose the conservative treatment. Careful follow-ups and MRI were undertaken 6 times within 32 weeks. Bone union was observed 32 weeks after the injury, and no bone displacement was observed.
