Résumé
Safranal (SFR) is the major constituent of saffron. The purpose of this study was to observe the effect of SFR on myocardial ischemia induced by isoprenaline (ISO) and to explore its possible mechanism. The myocardial ischemia rat model was established by subcutaneous injection of ISO (85 mg/kg/d) on the 8th and 9th day of the experiment. Serum creatine kinase (CK), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), malondialdehyde (MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) were measured, as were changes in calcium concentration, reactive oxygen species (ROS) and cardiac morphology of the myocardial tissue.
