Changes in endogenous metal element concentrations in various aetiologies of chronic liver disease.

Our body contains physiologically many metal ions used for its metabolic processes and function. Metal ion changes can start pathological processes, however, the pathological processes may also lead to changes in metal ion concentration. In this study, the authors summarize the physiologically present metal ions' change in liver diseases with various aetiologies, the consequences are discussed as well as the connections with the progression.
