The aim of this study was to investigate the incidence of post-contrast acute kidney injury (PC-AKI) in patients with uncontrollable postpartum hemorrhage undergoing emergency transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE). Data collected included patient characteristics, serum creatinine (SCr) level before and after TAE, iodine quantity of contrast media, time between computed tomography and TAE, diabetes mellitus, hemorrhage volume, and blood transfusion volume. For the diagnosis of PC-AKI, the criteria of the European Society of Urogenital Radiology Guidelines (version 10.0) were used. A total of 71 TAE procedures were performed over a 5-year period, and 47 patients met the inclusion criteria. Preprocedural renal function and change of SCr were positively correlated (
