Résumé
Calcific tendinitis of the gluteus maximus is a rare condition with poorly described operative treatment options. We present a 51-year-old man with chronic left posterolateral hip pain because of gluteus maximus calcific tendinitis that was refractory to conservative treatment. Endoscopy was pursued given the severity and chronicity of his symptoms. The patient remains asymptomatic without recurrence. This is the first description of endoscopic management of calcific tendinitis of the gluteus maximus. This is a minimally invasive, efficacious option for management of this pathology.
