Actinic keratosis (AK) is a chronic and recurrent disease caused by long-term sun exposure. Grade 3 AK is considered early squamous cell carcinoma in situ (SCCis). Field- and lesion-directed therapeutic approaches can improve the efficacy and reduce treatment time and cost. It is particularly suitable for AK patients with lesions of differing grades.
