The Eastern Mediterranean Regional Palliative Care Expert Network: Designing a roadmap for palliative care development in the region.

Since 2014 WHO has been advocating for the integration of palliative care into health systems. Although there has been some progress in the development of palliative care in the Eastern Mediterranean Region, many countries in the region still have no palliative care activity and none has achieved integration. The WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean has been engaged in activities aimed to develop palliative care in the region since 2010. L'Organisation mondiale de la Santé (OMS) appelle à l'intégration des soins palliatifs dans les systèmes de santé depuis 2014. Même si le développement des soins palliatifs a progressé dans la Région de la Méditerranée orientale, de nombreux pays n'ont toujours pas d'activités de soins palliatifs et aucun n'a réalisé cette intégration. Le Bureau régional de l'OMS pour la Méditerranée orientale mène des activités visant à développer les soins palliatifs dans la Région depuis 2010. Nous faisons rapport sur la création du réseau d'experts des soins palliatifs dans la Région de la Méditerranée orientale, ainsi que sur son mandat, ses activités et ses plans futurs.
