The emergence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has had a devastating effect, globally. We describe, for the first time, the occurrence of carbapenem-resistant bacteria colonizing SARS-CoV-2 patients who developed hospital-associated infections with carbapenemase-producing, Gram-negative bacteria at some isolation centers of SARS-CoV-2 in the eastern part of Libya.
