Although cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) are considered latent viruses, their reactivation occurs in immunosuppressed conditions. We previously reported that CMV and EBV are reactivated in patients receiving immunosuppressive therapy and/or chemotherapy.
