Résumé

The purpose of this review is to provide an update on emerging literature on the role of the ocular surface microbiome (OSM) in allergic eye diseases. Findings in the literature suggest that the ocular surface microbiome plays a role in the pathophysiology and course of allergic disease of the ocular surface. Knowledge regarding the role of the ocular surface microbiome in allergic disease is important to guide development of targets for future therapeutic interventions.
