Potassium-solubilizing bacteria are an important microbial group that play a critical role in releasing mineral potassium from potassium-containing minerals, e.g., potassium feldspar. Their application may reduce eutrophication caused by overused potassium fertilizers and facilitate plants to utilize environmental potassium.
