Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), a tubular epithelial malignancy, secretes tumor necrosis factor (TNF) which signals ccRCC cells in an autocrine manner via two cell surface receptors, TNFR1 and TNFR2, to activate shared and distinct signalling pathways.
