Huperzia serrata, belonging to the Lycopodiaceae family, has been traditionally utilized for the management of treating rheumatic numbness, arthritic pain, dysmenorrhea, and contusions. This plant is a rich source of lycopodium alkaloids, some of which have demonstrated notable cholinesterase inhibitory activity.
