Acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis, or Sweet's syndrome, is characterized by tender, edematous papules and plaques, favoring the upper extremities and the head and neck regions. The classic variant of Sweet's syndrome involves a predominantly neutrophilic dermal infiltrate on histopathology.
