Compelling evidence suggests that schools' infrastructure and policy represent potential predictors of health and physical activity (PA) in children and adolescents. However, the translation of these findings into practice has not been examined. This study investigated the activity friendliness of Austrian schools. Using a census sampling method, principals of Austrian schools ( A total of 130 principals answered the survey which corresponds to a minimal response rate of 38%.
