IAVPTGVA (Soy1) and LPYP are two soybean peptides, which display a multifunctional behavior, showing in vitro hypocholesterolemic and hypoglycemic activities. A preliminary screening of their structures using BIOPEP suggested that they might be potential angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors.
