Résumé

Short modified oligonucleotides that bind in a sequence-specific way to messenger RNA essential for bacterial growth could be useful to fight bacterial infections. One such promising oligonucleotide is peptide nucleic acid (PNA), a synthetic DNA analog with a peptide-like backbone.
