Burkholderia cepacia complex (Bcc) and Burkholderia pseudomallei complex (Bpc) species include pathogens that are typically multidrug resistant. Dominant intrinsic and acquired multidrug resistance mechanisms are efflux mediated by pumps of the resistance-nodulation-cell division (RND) family.
