Antibacterial activity of Xylopia pancheri Baill. (Annonaceae) leaf extract was investigated against susceptible Staphylococcus aureus, methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) and extended-spectrum-β-lactamase (ESBL)-producing Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Results showed that X. pancheri leaf extract displayed antibacterial activity against S. aureus with higher inhibitory effect on MRSA compared to control gentamycin antibiotic, and IC
