An outbreak involving an extensively antibiotic-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii strain in three military treatment facilities was identified. Fifty-nine isolates recovered from 30 patients over a 4-year period were found among a large collection of isolates using core genome multilocus sequence typing (MLST).
