Fucoxanthin-chlorophyll proteins (FCPs) are a family of photosynthetic light-harvesting complex (LHC) proteins found in diatoms. They efficiently capture photons and regulate their functions, ensuring diatom survival in highly fluctuating light. FCPs are present in different oligomeric states
