Mice genetically deficient in endothelial nitric oxide synthase (Nos3 These results would suggest that the metabolic and hepatic consequences of high-fat feeding are mediated by loss of Nos3/nitric oxide actions in bone marrow-derived cells, not in endothelial cells.
