Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), secreted by the activated macrophages, may participate in the onset and progression of colorectal cancer (CRC). The association of Medline (PubMed), EMBASE (Excerpta-Medica) and Google Scholar were mined for relevant articles.
