α-Tocopherol-13'-carboxychromanol (α-T-13'-COOH) is an endogenously formed bioactive α-tocopherol metabolite that limits inflammation and has been proposed to exert lipid metabolism-regulatory, pro-apoptotic, and anti-tumoral properties at micromolar concentrations.
